ArtConnoisseurs Fundraising event supporting the projects of the Royal Museums of Art and History in the Museum's historic cloister

ArtConnoisseurs (Asian Art in BrusselsIBHECBAAF,  BIAPAL) and the Royal Museums of Art and History (RMAH) are organising a fundraising event supporting the upcoming projects of the Museums on Friday June 12th 2015.

Thanks to this event you will be able to give your support to the Museums’ activities and more specifically to the following projects:

Under the Stars of Nut. The Secrets of the Egyptian Coffins”.
The Royal Museums of Art and History of Brussels preserves more than thirty ancient Egyptian coffins, dating from the Prehistory to the Greco-Roman period. In November 2015 will start an important operation of restoration of the series of coffins discovered in the Second Cache of Deir el-Bahari (Bab el-Gasus), a mass grave dedicated to the Theban priests of Amun and their families (21st Dynasty, c. 950 BC). Your support will help the Museum to restore this exceptional set of coffins and to improve the knowledge of their archaeological context. For details, contact: Luc Delvaux (l.delvaux@mrah.be)

"Hidden Treasures from the Floating World. The Collection of Japanese Prints in the Royal Museums of Art and History".
The collection of Japanese prints in the RMAH counts over 7500 prints and is world famous for its quality and state of conservation. The Belgian public has not been able to view them in a major exhibition since 1989. Your support will allow the Museum to put this exceptional collection in the spotlights again.
